My journey with Kuba began in 2010 when I had the life-changing opportunity to meet him in person. From that very first meeting, I was entirely fascinated by his brilliant persona, his massive vision, and his magnetic energy. Inspired by what I saw, I asked Kuba if I could become his assistant. He graciously accepted, opening the door to a world where wild fantasies were seamlessly turned into roaring reality.
As his assistant, I watched him navigate Hollywood as the "Pop Superhero"—a multi-disciplinary Performer who refused to let the world dictate the boundaries of his art. He completely commanded every room he walked into. He introduced me to many extraordinary, famous people, but most importantly, he introduced me to his exceptionally sophisticated parents. Over the years of working together and sharing our lives, they became much more than employers or mentors to me—they became almost my own family.
To the public, Kuba was a whirlwind of grand concepts and striking warrior-style imagery. This unique aesthetic was perfectly captured when he graced the cover of *Apollo Male Models Magazine*. He was an incredibly handsome sportsman who treated bodybuilding not merely as a routine, but as a true professional pursuit and a lifelong passion. He sculpted and worked on his body with immense discipline, viewing his physical fitness as an essential piece of his larger-than-life artistic canvas.
Behind the scenes, I had the privilege of seeing the deep humility, profound empathy, and professional integrity that powered the entire machine. Having spent extensive time with him on various film sets, I saw firsthand how incredibly professional he was. Amidst the natural chaos and high pressure of production, Kuba remained deeply respectful, exceptionally kind, and remarkably warm to every single person on set—from the directors to the crew. He possessed a rare, innate grace and took care of the people around him in a truly elegant way, ensuring everyone felt seen and valued.
Kuba loved life intensely, and that love extended unconditionally to both people and animals. His heart for service went far beyond high-profile Hollywood galas; he quietly and actively helped the homeless, always treating those who had been marginalized by society with the utmost dignity. I remember vividly the historic Face Forward Foundation Gala at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, where thousands of people packed the venue to celebrate his third album. But at the center of that spectacular chaos was a man dedicating his massive PR triumph to helping others. For him, being a superhero wasn’t an aesthetic; it was a responsibility to protect the innocent and uplift the vulnerable.
Even when he became sick, his extraordinary spirit never faltered. He never once complained. Instead, he chose to remain fiercely optimistic, channeling all his strength into lifting up those around him. He shared a powerful, beautiful, and deeply positive energy with people until the very end of his life.
Kuba Ka was an unprecedented force of nature. Getting to assist him during his Hollywood journey allowed me to see the true heart behind the armor. He left an indelible mark on my life and on the lives of everyone who crossed his path. His untamed creative spirit, physical passion, and boundless kindness will never be forgotten.
